If you ask most kids what art skill they would like to improve, it's usually drawing, the basic building block of all art. There is nothing like receiving the compliment, "Wow, you are really good at drawing!"
So this summer, I have designed a new camp that will help kids learn how to "see like an artist" as we practice observational drawing, shading, perspective, and composition. I have spent a lifetime accumulating tips and tricks to help people improve this valuable skill!
We'll explore various subject matter and experiment with different media like charcoal, ink, colored pencil, and pastel. Each student will get a new sketchbook.
On the last day of camp, I open the Studio Store for kids to purchase fun and affordable art supplies and edible treats if they would like.
