​Gathering to create art for a cause is fun, meaningful, and productive.  Among all the worthy causes in the world, adoption rises to the top for me personally, thanks to the many families in my beautiful community of friends who have chosen this path.  

It is expensive and not subsidized or covered by insurance.  As a friend said recently, "We are not paying for a child, we are paying for a system of orphanages and services to protect children until they can be placed in loving homes."  

Are you or is someone you know hoping, planning, dreaming, working to adopt?  Let me come alongside to provide an activity that brings together friends to help a friend while providing a delightful, artistic souvenir for each participant.  This fundraiser has the potential to earn over $600 toward the adoption!

TWO OPTIONS:

Option 1: Private Party
The host chooses the guest list and handles the communication.  The organizer could be the adoptive mom or dad or a friend who volunteers.
Cost per person: I suggest $50, but we can discuss it.  I will keep $10/person to cover supplies.  All proceeds above that will be donated to the family.  This is not tax deductible.
Maximum: 16
Time:  1.5-2 hours
Type of project:  I will work with the organizer to choose an acrylic canvas or watercolor piece.  I teach with a guided painting style, so this activity works well for any skill level.
Ages:  Depending on the project, we can include people as young as 10 or stick to adults only.

Option 2:  Public Party
I organize and publicize the class and open it to the public.  I donate 50% of the proceeds to the adoption.
Maximum: 16
Time:  1.5-2 hours
