Week 4

Prep for next week:

1.  Finish your still life and be sure to bring it next week so we can add cast shadows.

2.  If you have time, work on your sketchbook cover.

3.  Start thinking about your personal watercolor project.
You will need to bring in printed reference pictures that you find or take with a camera.
You will choose three  subjects from the following prompts to paint three different pictures.
That means you'll need at least 3 photos.
  • A Place I Love: A favorite vacation spot, a room in their home, a park, or somewhere they feel happy. (Find or take a photo)
  • Things That Make Me Me: Favorite objects, hobbies, sports, pets, books, or collections.  (You could create a still life from these and take a photo of it to print as a reference.)
  • Nature's Beauty: Flowers, animals, landscapes, sunsets, or underwater scenes. (Find or take a photo)
  • A Dream World: An imaginary landscape, magical garden, fantasy setting, or surreal scene. (You can sketch your idea since you can't take a picture of this.)
  • A Moment in Time: A favorite memory, a special day, or an ordinary moment they want to capture. (Find or take a photo.)
  • Create an idea of your own that fits the "personal" theme.
