Reflective Wishes
Draw a pair of sunglasses reflecting the view you would currently enjoy looking at! You may do the extra challenge of drawing yourself wearing them. Please use either pencil/colored pencil with shading, or Micron with nicely inked details.

Art Appreciation
For the final 6 weeks of art class, I am going to select several pieces of art each week and ask you 3 questions that require personal evaluation and thoughtful answers. You may write them out on paper and hand them in at class, or you may email them to me if that's easier.
I challenge you to write a PARAGRAPH for each answer instead of one or two words. A paragraph is 3-5 sentences and forces you to think a little deeper about your reasons for your answers.
1. Which of these seven self-portraits most closely reflects your current mood, and what is that mood?
2. If you were to draw or paint a self-portrait, which style would you choose to emulate from those represented below? Why?
3. Which of these self-portraits makes you most wonder "what are they thinking about?" Now, make up a story about what they are thinking about.
