Reference Photo: Please find and print (or send to me to print) a reference photo of a landscape that you would like to watercolor. It can be a photo of your own or you can find it on the internet. Bring it to class next week.
Design a small card using watercolors or a watercolor/ink combo on the watercolor paper you brought home. Make 2 or a bunch of these cards. You can use the same design or make them all different Bring one of them to show me next week. Take the other one(s) and write a brief "message to a stranger." Put it in an envelope titled "For You." Then leave it/them somewhere for a stranger to find.
This is a kindness I call a "Random Act of Art."
If you have a phone, take a picture of where you left your card and send it to me so I can share your picture on Facebook. Otherwise, you can just share with the class where you left it.
Watch the following video about a new art installation at the Dallas Museum of Art, then in your sketchbook, design your own "room" in this exhibit and describe with labels or a paragraph how it would be interactive for the people visiting.
