Prepping for our next project...
We will be doing clay sculptures next week. You will have enough clay to make something the size of a mug with some extra clay for embellishments. The goal for the project is to come up with a cool sculpture that is also functional in some way (it will not be food-safe.) Ideas from past years are jewelry plates, pencil holders, candle holders/luminaries, planters, shaker/maraca, magnets, fairy house luminary. Think about how to take a simple object and make it interesting, like a dragon candleholder, or a flower shaped plate. We will paint and seal them the following week. You may want to research and sketch your ideas.
