Follow along with this video to complete these quick (20 second and 40 second) gesture drawings with a sharpie.  You can fit 4-5 sketches per page in your sketchbook.  If you want, you can watch the artist do it first, and then time yourself doing it.

ART APPRECIATION ASSIGNMENT
Last semester, we learned about art movements through history, from Ancient Egyptian to Contemporary Art.  

This semester, we'll be learning about famous paintings.  This week, let's focus on The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Dutch artist Jan Vermeer.
