Choose a picture of a wrapped gift from the email I sent you (or sent your parent if I don't have your email address.)  Email me the page number and I'll print it for you.  

Sketchbook Assignment


​Create 5 random rules you have to follow for your artwork. 
Examples: 
  • Only use straight lines
  • Only grayscale values
  • No blending allowed
  • Work only with found materials
  • One mark per minute
  • No erasing or undoing
  • No representational imagery

    At some point, intentionally break one of the rules.  You have two weeks to complete this project. 

Art Appreciation Homework

This is an interesting video about the "secrets" of the world's greatest artists.  Write down the lessons he shares in the homework section of your sketchbook, and circle the one that most resonates with you.
