Let's do a creepy crawly line-based project in honor of Halloween! Line practice is actually really good for helping us improve our eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. Study this example, noticing which direction the lines curve and how the starburst lines intersect. You don't need to recreate this exactly, but study it enough to figure out the process.
You'll need a ruler, a white colored pencil, and a piece of black paper from your sketchbook.
1. Place 5-10 dots on the page that will be the centers of the web.
2. Leave a space for your spider.
3. Use a ruler to draw the starburst lines. Notice that one line always connects the dots.
4. Add the curved lines. Notice how they change directions depending on which dot they are closest to.
